"I hate working retail"

Great movie. "We gotta hit this aisle hard" Thats such a retail thing to say, I worked at KBToys for 3 years, it was kinda fun I guess, but I'm glad I'm out of there.
Good movie, its so true about cleaning the same spot 100 times a day, especially during xmas season wich, some how, lasts like, 3 months.

There were a few things you could have done that I think deffinatly could have got you a higher score.

First of all, you said this was a game, and it wasnt, it was a movie, that would throw a bunch of people off.
Second, the intro was a bit too long.
The options buttion jsut replayed the intro (and since it was too long, that got annoying as there was no skip button)
The cheats button played the credits, and that corver circular button didnt do anything that I could see.
Also, in the game modes, only one button worked.

If you had the exact same movie, but made the intro shorter, and had a skip button on it. You didnt call it a game or make it look like a game. All the buttons did what tehy were supposed to and didnt add any extra buttons that didnt do anything, you would have had a miuch better score. The movie itself was actually pretty cool and fun to watch, but EVERYTHING else was annoying and really ruined it. Thats why you ave a low score.

I like your style of illistration, though nothing is worse then seeing an imported jpg mixed in with well drawn parts. The castle was cool, the two charecters were well drawn and animated, the moon threw me off a bit and the humor was... well, he farted. Great work overall, cantwat to see more.

You have a cool stle, I liked the anime type stuff, and the fading to black, yet sill you know whats going on. it was very good, stylistically. Good job.

Your obviously a very good programer, this is a very in depth game, you really went all out. I'm genna be brutally honest with this review, even though your obviously good, thats not the problem.

First of all, making a sprite based game remake is ok for crappy games, but this game is really good, if you put some work towards making it compleatly origonal, it would be much more impressive, and a much more noteworthy game IMHO.

Also, while the programing was retty solid, there were problems with hit checking and general control. when you are walking into a wall, it kind of goes forward, then bounces back (hint check for hit test before actually movieng the guy:
if (hitTest(_x+xMomentum,_y+yMomentum, true))
_x+=xMomentum;
rather then what it seems like you did:
_x+=xMomentum;
if (hitTest(_x,_y, true))
_x-=xMomentum;
I can explain better over email if your at all interested)

As for the controls, its hard to say whats wrong, I would get an origonal mario platformer and try to recreate how that feals, with the same gravety/fall speed, jump speed, horiz. speed, air control, etc etc.

Dont take this review the wrong way, its a great job, but I alwas find that the better the game is, the more critical a review I give it.

This was an amazing game. Your score right now is 3.8, thats a sin. This is such a unique and origonal game, its a shame that you dont have over a 4, atleast. Great game, great job. dont ever sell out and make the same old game like everyone else.
